Monday, the announcement was made that the bank would not reopen the golf course. They will instead look to sell or lease the property.
"Shortly after the sale the bank indicated that it expected to reopen the property in the near future. However, after further evaluation, the bank has determined not to reopen the property at this time," stated a press release from Bank of the Ozarks. "Plantation Golf Club is a wonderful golf club and a valuable asset in the community. The bank has received inquiries from several parties who have expressed interest in purchasing the property, and the bank hopes to sell or lease the property in the near future to an experienced professional golf course operator."
