Tiger pitcher Logan Tant caught the runner off second and started the game-ending play with a toss to the shortstop.
The Indians had taken the first lead of the game, scoring a run in the top of the first, but the Tigers answered with two in the bottom of the frame. The two teams were knotted at 3-all in the second inning and 4-all in top of the fifth inning.
Adairsville added two big runs in the sixth to go up 6-4 and Armuchee had two aboard in the seventh when its lead runner was gunned down with the potential tying run at first.
The Tigers next play against Coosa at 5:30 p.m. today. Their overall record is 10-2.
Brandon Blome had two hits, one triple, and one RBI for the Tigers; Michael Gwin had one RBI; Cody Beemiller got an RBI; and Cody Kremer tallied a home run and an RBI for the cause.
Tant picked up the win with 2 2/3 innings of work in which he struck up six with no walks and no earned runs.
Adairsville (10-2, 2-0 in Region 7A-AA) plays Coosa today. Game time is at 5:30 p.m.
