Bobbie Jean Bennett Crowe, 74, of Cartersville passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2011, after a courageous fight against cancer. Mrs. Crowe was born on Nov. 22, 1937, in Blue Ridge and has made her home in Cartersville for the past 17 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who loved spending time with her family and will be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Hoyt Bennett, and infant son, Jack Hoyt Crowe. Survived by husband of 50 years, Gene Crowe; children Gina Crowe Maddox of Cartersville, Paul (and Aimee) Crowe of Taylorsville, Cindy Crowe Eganey of Frankin, Tenn., and Steve Crowe of Cartersville. Also survived by five grandchildren, Skylar and Abby Maddox, Brian and Jenna Eganey and Justin Crowe; sisters Peg (and Hoyt) Priest, Cathy (and Terry ) Bellah; brothers Eddie (and Mary Beth) Bennett and Terry (and Katherine) Bennett; a niece and several nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at Owen Funeral Home in Cartersville (770-382-3030) Burial service will be held the following day at the Georgia National Cemetery with Rev. Harold Willis officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Amedisys Hospice Care of Cartersville #3391 (770-382-0114).
