Pitching three innings with five strikeouts for the Braves was Sutton. Cornett went two innings with a strikeout.
Phillies 5, Colts 4
Jake Norris struck out six while giving up five hits in 6 2/3 innings as the Phillies defeated the Colts 5-4 on April 12. Nick Root got the final out with a strikeout.
For the Colts, Seth Smith also pitched almost a complete game, entering as a reliever in the first and remaining to finish the game, during which he surrendered three hits and fanned three.
For the Phillies, Josh Holmes walked twice; Austin Davis tripled, knocked in two runs and scored; Khase Willis walked and scored; Jake Hacker walked and scored; Norris walked and scored; Bailey Belisario walked; Dayne Roberts scored; and Dayne Roberts walked.
For the Colts Smith had two hits; Andy Sims, one hit and a run; Jake Richards, one hit and a run; Tyler Friedrich, a hit; Trenton Lowery, a run; Connor Wall, a walk and a run.
Jake Richards pitched an inning and Smith went six innings.
Tigers 6, Padres 3
Jake Cooper and John Reed Evans combined for a three-hitter with six strikeouts, and Jacob Frye and Brycen Jones together allowed four-hits while striking out 10 as the Tigers whipped the Padres, 6-3, on April 14 in Cartersville Little League play.
Tiger hitters included Tate Mathis, one hit and a walk and two runs; Ant McNair-Seigler, one hit and a walk, two runs and an RBI; Gage Morris, one hit; Jordon Wells, one hit; Cooper, a run and an RBI; Evans, two RBIs; Grant Harris, a run.
Cooper tossed four innings with six strikeouts, while Evans threw for three innings for the Tigers.
For the Padres, Frye tallied two hits with a run; Zachery Taylor, a hit, a walk and an RBI; Sean Holton, a walk and an RBI; LaDarius Winburn, a walk and a run; Jones, a run.
Frye threw for two innings and struck out three. Jones worked four innings with seven strikeouts.
Crackers 7, Dodgers 5
The Crackers slipped by the Dodgers, 7-5, in Cartersville Little League play April 14.
Offensively the Crackers got production from Preston Martin, three hits with a run and two RBIs; Will Bentley, two hits with a run and an RBI; Thomas Watkins, one hit with a run and an RBI; Josh Mayo, one hit with a double and an RBI; Blake Adams, a hit and a run; Asa Plummer, a hit and a run; Austin Lunde, a walk and a run; Kaleb Waters, a walk and a run.
Thomas Watkins threw for four innings with seven strikeouts; Will Bentley, two innings with two strikeouts; Josh Mayo, one inning.
The Dodgers were paced offensively by Curtis Wilkes, a double, a run and an RBI; Trevor Lawrence, a hit, a walk and a run; Trey Harkins, a hit, a walk and a run; Thomas Jolly, a triple; Spencer Dickey, a walk, hit by pitch and a run; Austin Clark, two walks; Preston Welchel, hit by pitch; Max Rohland, a run.
Dickey went five innings with 12 strikeouts. Lawrence worked one inning.
