Mr. William Frank Wade, 82, of 78 Parr Wade Road, Cartersville, passed away on Nov. 11, 2012. A funeral service will be held Thursday, Nov. 15, at 1 p.m., at New Hope Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton.

Mr. William Frank Wade was born July 2, 1930, in Cartersville, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Prince Arther Wade.

He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and attended Summer Hill High School in Cartersville. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

William retired from Lockheed Martin after 34 years of service. He enjoyed gardening and growing vegetables, which he took to the market and shared with family and friends. William was one of the original founders of the New Frontier Inc.

He was married to Marian Blanche Smith for 22 years.

He leaves to cherish his memories five sons, Ronald, William Keith, Winfred, Harvey and Jonathan (Dorothea) Wade; three daughters, Terri Gardner, Marian Hollenberger (Zane) and Kimberly Knox Wade Richards (Marvin). He also was blessed with 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Lucy Smith, Bertha Wilkins, Bessie Wilkins and Lois Annette Wade; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
