Clarence Lamar "Shorty" Lanham

Mr. Clarence Lamar "Shorty" Lanham, age 85, of Kingston, passed away Sunday, May 8, in a Cartersville health care facility.

Mr. Lanham was born March 11, 1926, in Bartow County, a son of the late Jesse Lanham and Lou Seney Young Lanham. He was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Lanham was employed by Atlantic Steel for several years where he was known as Hot Rod, and retired from Leeway Freight as a shipping clerk. Mr. Lanham was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Lyndol Warren Lanham, a daughter, Sharyn Duncan, and her husband, Lonnie, Cartersville; a son Jerry Lanham, and his wife Debbie, Acworth; a brother, Jeff "J.C." Lanham, Rome; grandchildren, Cinnamon Holderman, Christiane Januszewski, Crystal Adams, Caroline Masak, great grandchildren, Bobby Holderman, Austin Adams, Cade Adams, Bella Januszewski, Griffin Masak, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 11, at Parnick Jennings Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Bobby Stephens, and Rev. Leon Smith, officiating. Interment will follow in Mizpah Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Tuesday, at Parnick Jennings Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include the following gentlemen, and are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday: Charles Gary Lanham, Dwayne Lanham, Bill Parker, Robert Mathis, Steve Lanham, Sammy Lanham, Larry Lanham, Jeffery G. Lanham and Larry Fincher.
