Bartow County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Jonathan Rogers said a crash Thursday afternoon at Baker and Bishop roads occurred after a suspect ran a red light and a deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, ending after the car crashed into the ditch.

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating, and they believe the same suspect is involved in causing crashes in other areas.

One person was airlifted with head injuries and the other was taken to Cartersville Medical Center.

When asked if the crash was fatal, the Bartow County Fire Department replied, "Not yet."

Deputies on scene believe alcohol was involved.
