According to the incident report, deputies were called to a Cassville Road home after a man, who was wanted on felony offenses, began doing property damage.
Deputies located Bradley Stiner walking down Cassville Road carrying an ax in each hand. Stiner was advised to put the tools down, but he refused and continued walking in the direction of another officer on the scene.
The reporting deputy pulled his service weapon and ordered Stiner to drop the axes. Stiner refused and continued walking with deputies following on foot advising him to put the tools down. According to the report, Stiner turned toward the deputies several times and raised one of the axes in an offensive manner, but continued walking.
Stiner entered the driveway of a residence and hid behind a tree at which time two additional deputies arrived and the man was once again advised to drop the axes. Stiner again allegedly raised an ax, at which point a deputy tased the man and handcuffs were placed on him.
Deputies then spoke with Stiner's family who said he called and asked to be picked up near Cass Grocery after arguing with an unknown woman. A female relative said she picked Stiner up but refused to take him to buy cigarettes, upsetting Stiner.
When they arrived home, Stiner allegedly began throwing rocks at the woman and causing other property damage. The deputy observed a broken screen door handle, a broken latch on a shed door and holes punched in a drainage cover.
Stiner was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, obstruction and criminal trespass under the Family Violence Act. Stiner was wanted on 11 outstanding warrants through Bartow County stemming from obstruction, fleeing and eluding DUI, according to the report.
