Fishermen find human remains

The Bartow County Sheriff’s Office is investigating human remains found in the area of Paga Mine Road in Bartow County about 9 a.m. Sunday.

According to Sheriff Clark Millsap, several persons walking to fish at nearby Etowah River located a human skull in the woods. Bartow County deputies responded to the area and conducted a search, locating several bones.

Sgt. Jonathan Rogers said Sunday evening that the search was completed Sunday afternoon, and the remains that were recovered have been sent to the G.B.I. Crime Lab.
