Cartersville High School principal Jay Floyd has been named as principal of Lowndes High School in Valdosta. Lowndes County Board of Education Superintendent-Elect Wes Taylor made the announcement following the LBOE meeting Monday. Floyd was recommended to the board by Superintendent Steve Smith.
Floyd's first day in his new job will be June 1.
