She was born in Confluence, Ky., on June 8, 1920, and was the daughter of the late Felix Napier and the late Armilda Hoskins Napier. Preceding her in death along with her parents; is her husband, William Glover Chance; her son, David E. Campbell; her sisters, Elsie Lequire, Zoobie Cress, Ruby Jordan and Hazel Schram; and her brothers, Ray, Floyd, Clifford, Doye, Earl and Charlie Napier.
Mrs. Chance was a member of Center Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed by all those who knew her.
Survivors include hers sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny V. and Carolyn Chance, N. Lynn and Linda Chance and Tommy and Phyllis Chance; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Pastor Michael Abernathy officiating. Burial will follow in Rowland Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and are asked to meet at the funeral home on Saturday at 2:15 p.m.
