A new era of football began victoriously for Woodland, which delivered a win to Vince DiLorenzo in his debut game as Wildcats head coach and brought a halt to a five-game losing streak to its cross-county rival.

Woodland took a two-score lead with a four-touchdown performance in the first half before holding off a late rally for a 39-26 win over Cass, which was playing for the first time in Doug Cochran Stadium.

In other Bartow County action, Adairsville defeated Ridgeland 17-14 in Tiger Valley and Cartersville was shut out, 12-0, at Pepperell.
