"The bus was traveling west on Ga. Highway 140 and when it got near the Food Lion a Jeep vehicle pulled out and hit the bus near the rear back tire ... We had an alternate bus to the scene pretty quickly as they would in that type of situation because all of our buses have radios on them," Harper said.
Harper said the Georgia Department of Transportation is investigating the accident, which included about 30 students, and that there was substantial damage to both vehicles, possibly totaling the Jeep.
"I was told there was some plastic on the [Jeep's] drivers side window ... and it was probably obstructing some of that view," Harper said.
He said students were quickly transported to school and were not late.
