With a bruising as well as explosive, rushing attack and an unforgiving defense that will not quit, the Adairsville football team does not figure to need much else to subdue its opponents. That the Tigers have had significant special teams contributions in two of their first three games makes them even more dangerous.

On Friday night, it was Adairsville’s punt return team that took center stage in a 38-14 win over Sonoraville, with Fox 5 in Tiger Valley for the High 5 Sports Game of the Week.

Elsewhere, in other Bartow County football action, Cartersville rallied from a halftime deficit but still fell, 35-28, at LaFayette; Cass lost at Johns Creek, 35-13; and Woodland also took a hit on its road trip, suffering a 13-7 defeat to Rome.
