Dorothy was employed as a machine operator for First Brands. She was a member of The Bread of Life Christian Center. Dorothy was known to be a good hearted and caring woman. She was a wonderful mother and a hard worker. Dorothy was strong in her Christian faith and loved her family very much.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Bill Smart of Sebring, Fla., and Sharon and Norman Farmer of Adairsville; her sister, Mary Pearl Trammell of Cartersville; her sister-in-law, Margaret Trammell of Cartersville; five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 12, at the Bread of Life Christian Center with the Rev. Max Maybern officiating. The body will lie in state for one hour prior to the funeral. Interment will follow in Wofford's Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m. on Sunday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
