Two treated after fire at plant

Cartersville Fire Department personnel responded to a fire at Ampacet Corp., 100 Ampacet Drive, off Euharlee Road at 12:49 a.m. Wednesday.

Upon arrival, firefighters treated two plant employees on scene. The report is incomplete at this time, and it is unclear if they were transported to a hospital.

According to a CFD spokesperson, a product inside the building erupted into flames and was extinguished. The structure remains intact.

No firefighter injuries were reported. The fire was under control at 2:19 a.m. and all personnel left the scene at 4:30.

The corporation's website states that the company uses technology to give plastic products a certain hue using custom colors and also aids in chemical composition.
