The Adairsville Tigers showed their survival instincts Friday night as they overcame a season-high in turnovers to win a sub-region football game at Coosa, 20-12.

After putting the ball on the ground for much of the night, Adairsville held on for the victory when its defense forced the Eagles’ first fumble of the game with Coosa hoping to tie the game on its final possession.

In other Bartow County football action, Cartersville lost 10-0 at state-ranked Allatoona, and Cass fell 28-16 at Northwest Whitfield.

Woodland was off this week.
