Ms. Ledford was born Sept. 5, 1943, in Bartow County, daughter of the late Lee Alexander Ledford and Ruby Estelle Darnell Ledford. For a number of years she worked at Cartersville Undergarment. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Martha King and Effie Black; brothers, Charlie Ledford, Ernest Ledford Sr. and Walter Ledford.
Survivors include a sister, Mary Lee Smith; nieces, Deborah Lumpkin and Diane Anderson; nephews, Fred King, David King, Ernest Ledford Jr., Michael Smith and Danny Black; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon, Oct. 7, at 2 p.m. in the Owen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Eastridge officiating. Interment will follow in the Cassville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include Katrena Lumpkin, Kimberly Lumpkin, Tiffany Tindell, Christy Hernandez, Chris Black, Brandy Pace and Jonathan Ellington. Honorary pallbearers include Michael Smith and Michelle King.
