"It's going to be a fun time for the city," Tom Shinall, one half of the TC Show, said. "The city wanted to do something community-minded more for families, and the neat thing is, they're bringing people together around a fun-filled atmosphere."
Live entertainment featuring local talent of singers, dancers, bands, martial arts and gymnastics demonstrations is on tap for the day.
A costume contest for children also is scheduled, and City Manager Trish Sullivan said that currently undetermined prizes will be awarded by the city.
"There's going to be arts and crafts, vendors, food," Shinall said. "It's just encouraging a fun opportunity for the locals to get out on a beautiful Saturday and enjoy the offerings that the city brings them."
The event is scheduled for Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Entry is free.
