Bartow County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to a domestic dispute Sunday evening after a woman threw a potato and began bashing the house with a flashlight.

The deputy was called to the Woodland Way residence about 7:30 p.m., according to the report, where he met with the resident who said he and the offender were trying to "work things out between them."

The man said Marla Fincher had been drinking heavily since Saturday and had fell into a fire pit, scratching her legs. According to the report, Fincher had become irate while fixing dinner and threw the potato into a photo frame, breaking it.

She then retrieved a "four-cell mag light" from a vehicle, banging the flashlight into the floor, causing damage. The man said she also broke a photo frame with the light.

He said he locked Fincher outside, but she started beating a motorcycle helmet and attempted to turn over the bike.

She allegedly threatened to tell police the man had beaten her, but the deputy noted in his report there were no signs of bruising or being beaten, only scratches consistent with the fall.

Fincher was arrested and charged with criminal damage to property and criminal trespass under the Family Violence Act.
