Mr. Cash was born in Sandy Springs, Sept. 13, 1925, son of the late Warren D. and Mary Roxie Sanford Cash. He was a member of 10th Street United Methodist Church in Atlanta and a veteran, having served with the United States Navy during World War II. Mr. Cash enjoyed baseball and golf and was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Rary Cash, five brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Buddy (Phyllis) Cash of Adairsville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis (Larry) Cash Williamson of Resaca and Karen (Joel) Cash Bagley of Snellville; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, William Cash of Buford and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 24, at 2 p.m., at the chapel of Barton Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Baird officiating. Steve Jackson will provide musical selections. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include Sam Cash, Kevin Bagley, Mark Wallace, Richie Cash, Jeff Williams, Ricky Howell, Dustin Wallace and Mason Cash.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Special Needs School of Gwinnett, 660 Davis Road, Lawrenceville, GA 30046.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5 to 8:00 p.m. at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
