On Saturday at 2:10 a.m. an officer was dispatched to an address in Acworth in reference to a domestic dispute.

The officer observed a man and woman arguing in the driveway. The woman's shirt had blood on it.

According to the woman, she was driving her husband home from a party when he -- being extremely intoxicated -- became irate and started punching the inside of the vehicle. She tried to calm him down; he punched her in the face, busting her nose. Once they pulled into the driveway, the woman said she went inside to get away from her husband. The husband followed her inside and began hitting the wall. Still arguing, the man then hit her again. The woman was able to call 911 with her cell phone. The officer observed the woman's busted nose and dry blood on her lip.

During the officer's conversation with the woman, her husband yelled unknown words, causing a disturbance. The officer placed him in the rear of the patrol car.

The man said he never hit his wife. Instead he claimed his wife got into a fight with his sister-in-law. He later stated the injury came from the movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding." According to the officer, the man was intoxicated and did not make sense.

The man was arrested for battery under the Family Violence Act.
