Mrs. Shepherd was born July 12, 1926, in Bartow County, the daughter of the late George Elliott Sr. and Maggie Richardson Elliott and was a member of Autry Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tom Shepherd; a brother, George Elliott; and a sister, Mary Hale.
Surviving are her children, Evon (Jackie) Dover, Anthony (Cathy) Shepherd, Tim (Becky) Shepherd; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a special thanks to Amedysis Hospice.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 3, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Towe officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 5 to 9 p.m.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
