Tuesday night the Euharlee City Council approved several items on its agenda. One contract for the construction process at Joe Cowan Park was included in the city's business.

For the new park, an asphalt contract and invoices were approved.

Mayor Kathy Foulk requested approval for University of West Georgia students to use the history museum for a project in one of their classes and a zoning ordinance to update the placement of drop-off boxes for donation collection was passed.

The city also has received a grant from the Department of Natural Resources for $100,000. City Manager Trish Sullivan said that the grant will be used for restrooms at trail heads.

The council will hold a special called meeting tonight at 5 p.m. for an executive session to discuss personnel.
