Brenton Baggett, assistant BCRD director, said the 8-and-under, 10-and-under and 12-and-under all-star teams will play three games as part of the District Class A championships.
Baggett said each team includes 24 players selected by coaches, referees and recreation officials based on their performances during the regular football season.
“Anytime we choose youngsters to represent us,” Baggett said, “we try to pick the most talented and hopefully they will represent our county well and have a good time in these games.”
He said contests will be in Bartow, Gordon and Whitfield counties.
Games played in Bartow County are open to spectators at no charge and concession stands will be open during the contests.
“Anyone can come on out and support our youngsters,” Baggett said.
He said the teams currently are practicing for the playoffs at local recreation department facilities.
8U All Stars
The Bartow 8U All Stars will play their first game Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. against the Cartersville All Stars at Hamilton Crossing.
Bartow then visits Southeast Whitfield High School on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. to play the Whitfield County All Stars.
It plays the Dalton All Stars on Nov. 19 at 6:30 p.m. at Hamilton Crossing.
10U All Stars
The Bartow County 10U All Stars will play the Cartersville All Stars at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Dellinger Park.
They will then lineup against the Dalton All Stars on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Hamilton Crossing.
The Bartow team then plays the Whitfield County All Stars on Nov. 19 at 10 a.m. at Southeast Whitfield High School.
12U All Stars
The Bartow County 12U All Stars will play the Whitfield County All Stars on Tuesday at 7:45 p.m. at Hamilton Crossing.
The 12U team plays the Cartersville All Stars on Thursday at 7:45 p.m. at Hamilton Crossing.
Bartow plays the Dalton All Stars on Nov. 19 at 10 a.m. at Dellinger Park.
