Mrs. Jones was born April 13, 1939 in Floyd County, the daughter of the late Malcomb Coleman and Dealva (Grisham) Pritchett. She was a graduate of Calhoun High School, was formerly an LPN at Floyd County Hospital, later chose to be a homemaker, was an advocate for many years for special needs children and the handicapped, was a very active volunteer with the Special Olympics and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Perry Jones; her grandbaby, Elizabeth Victoria Jones; a sister, Betty West and her brother, Malcomb (Sonny) Pritchett.
Surviving is her husband, Bobby Jones; son, Todd Jones; son and daughter-in-law, Rusty and Joyce Jones of Tampa, Fla.; grandchildren, Toni, Bradley and Jennifer Jones; sisters, Evelyn Boston, Barbara Clark of Calhoun, brother-in-law, George Jones of Rome; and nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan.16, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Brown and Rev. Jim Parham officiating.
Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 5 to 7 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Steve Autry, Malcomb Pritchett, Shane West, Dennis Jones, Jimmy Grisham, Johnny Grisham, Douglas Baker and Don Massey.
Honorary pallbearers will be friends and family from Cartersville Hope Center.
