Vera Mae Mosley McCarver, 89, of Euharlee, passed away Friday, Jan. 13, 2012.

She was a retired cook at the Quality Inn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Douglas McCarver Sr.; four sons, Claude D. McCarver Jr., Daniel Ray McCarver, John Franklin McCarver, and Charlie Douglas McCarver.

Survivors are her loving family, children; Barbara Long of Euharlee, Rev. Arthur (Helen) McCarver of Dallas, David McCarver of Euharlee, Thomas (Lisa) McCarver, Linda (Harvey) Hardy; one daughter-in-law, Velma McCarver of Cartersville; one sister, Phyllis Mosley of Menlo; one brother, Mr. Lewis Mosley of Chattanooga, Tenn.; 18 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral service will be Monday, Jan. 16, at 1 p. m. at the New Corinth Missionary Baptist Church, 200 Cliff Nelson Road, S. W., Euharlee, with Pastor Darrell Shaw and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service. Her remains will lie in state at the church from 11 a. m. until the funeral hour. Interment, Sunset Memory Gardens.
