About 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy on patrol observed Acworth Police Department units out with two men in the area of Glade Road and Interstate 75. The deputy stopped to provide assistance and was informed that the two men had been stabbed by another male subject.

Subsequent investigation revealed that all three men had been residing at a campsite located in the woodline near exit 278 off I-75. All three had been in an altercation at the campsite. One victim said he had been cut twice across the left forearm near his elbow and stabbed in the right foot area. According to the victim, the stabbing occurred because the suspect was trying to take over their campsite and belongings.

The two victims were transported to a local hospital where they received treatment. Authorities identified the suspect as Paul Rose, 50, who had fled the scene.

A lookout was provided to all surrounding agencies and Acworth police located the suspect at the RaceTrac on Glade Road. An investigator responded to that location and placed Rose under arrest for two counts of aggravated assault. He was transported to the Bartow County Jail.
