She was a retired Patient Care Technician at St. Joseph's Hospital and was a member of Buckhead Baptist Church.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1, from the Buckhead Baptist Church with Rev. Ronald Handlon and Rev. Posey Starkey officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Cartersville. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. at the church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Earnest D. (Red) Brown originally from Calhoun; mother, Clara Inez Starnes Clark and father, R. Stewart Guyton both of Cartersville. Survivors include; stepdaughters, Linda Brown Carter (Dale) of Austin, Texas, and Brenda Brown Rickborn (Reed) of Greenwood, S.C.; grandchildren, Andrea Bourgoin (Jason) of Omaha, Neb., and Paul Carter (Kimberly) of Austin, Texas; four great-grandchildren; brother, Carlton R. (Jimmy) Guyton (Jan); niece, Carla Webb (Steve); great-niece, Robin Webb; honorary family members, Dan and Brenda Wyatt, Christopher and Chardon Wyatt, Scott and Kristy Wyatt; five grandchildren.
