He was born in Fairmount Oct. 22, 1957, son of Helen Roberts. Mr. Hyde was of the Baptist faith and had built metal buildings for more than 20 years having worked for Worley Custom Buildings. Mr. Hyde was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Sue Johnson, and two brothers, Lamar Ray and Jeffery Ray.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Frances Guyton Hyde, of Adairsville; three children, Nicole (Brent) Whatley of Rome, Brandon (Courtney Huskins) Hyde of Adairsville, and Amy (Ronnie Hubbard) Hyde of Adairsville; his mother, Helen Roberts of Adairsville; five grandchildren, Brayson Hyde, Gavan Whatley, Gabrielle Whatley, Carson Christian and Bentley Hubbard; uncle, nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 3, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville, with Rev. Larry Hibberts officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery. Pallbearers include Adam Ross, Justin Ray, Josh Pinion, Charles "C.J." Hardin, Jermaine Bradley and Richard Hyde.
The family will receive friends Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Barton Funeral Home.
