Mildred (Millie) Cline Lewis, of Cartersville, passed away Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012 with family by her side.

Mrs. Lewis was born April 27, 1922, in Cartersville, the daughter of the late A.G. and Dora D. Cline. She was a homemaker until later years when she and her late husband opened Lewis Wholesale Antiques in Cassville. Her life was devoted to her husband and her five girls and their families. She was a member of Christian Fellowship Church in Cartersville. She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Lewis, to whom she was married for 59 years; sisters, Ethel Bryson and Hazel Cantrell; brothers, Carroll Cline, Charlie Cline and A. Glenn Cline Jr.; son-in-law, Joe Herrin, Dr. Robert W. May Jr. and a grand son-in-law, Robert Heisler.

Survivors include five daughters, Bobbie (Larry) Davis, June (Ron) Goss, Joy May, Jan (Jim) Boland and Jimmye Hammond; grandchildren, Dawn Heisler, Ross and Katie Davis, Ron and Lorie Goss, Misty June and David McBrayer, Adam Belcher, Evan and Tucker Hammond; great-grandchildren, Jordan and Aaron Hood, Michael, Lauren and Calloway Goss, Gunner Millsap and Maggie McBrayer; also surviving is a sister, JoAnn Lewis; sisters-in-law, Dorothy (Cecil) Chitwood and Helen Shinall; brother-in-law, Gene (Wilma) Lewis; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon Feb. 5, at 2 p.m. in the Owen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jody Cagle officiating. Interment will follow in Center Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include Ron Goss Jr., Ross Davis, Adam Belcher, Evan Hammond, Michael Goss, Aaron Hood, Craig Millsap and David McBrayer. Honorary pallbearers include Gunner Millsap and Calloway Goss.
