Judges Shepherd Howell and Scott Smith are expected to hear several cases beginning today of a wide variety.

In Judge Howell's courtroom, cases including a DUI, violation of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act, aggravated assault possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute and one case involving rape where Kielan Lee Gilmore stands accused of the crime, are on the calendar to be heard. Gilmore allegedly raped a 16 year-old girl at a residence in Cartersville in 2011.

Judge Smith is anticipating a burglary case from 2009 as well as a double defendant sale of marijuana and a case where Ferlando Lamont Dorsey is charged with rape. Dorsey allegedly forced a sexual encounter with a 16 year-old on the property of Adairsville High School. He has since been prohibited from the school's grounds.
