Bartow County Sheriff's Office investigators following up in several cases of burglary, entering an automobile and criminal trespass have recovered guns and ammunition stolen during the thefts and charged four teenage males in the cases.

According to Sheriff Clark Millsap, all four of the teens are 16 years old and from Bartow County. Two of the teens are charged with three counts of entering an auto, and one count of criminal trespass. The other two are charged with the same, plus one count of burglary. The burglary charge stems from a Feb. 11 burglary into an outbuilding on Pine Log Road where 12 guns were stolen. The entering an auto and criminal trespass charges stem from a Feb. 12 incident where two pistols, cash and some compact discs were taken from three vehicles in a driveway off Ga. Highway 140 near Rydal.

The investigation into these cases was assisted when a patrol deputy stopped a vehicle on Feb. 16 and recovered a stolen pistol on a passenger. The pistol was traced back to the Ga. Highway 140 theft and investigators were able to follow up on leads in that incident, which led to the recovery of the other stolen guns and the arrest of the juveniles. All four juveniles charged are awaiting a court date in Bartow County Juvenile Court.
