Coach Lance Hall said the Lady Tigers got off to a good start and didn't let up.
Cassidy Greene open scoring off an assist from Emily Sexauer in the 8th minute and a minute later Nisa Ayers found the back of the net with an assist from Greene, giving the Lady Tigers a 2-0 lead.
In the 16th minute, Cherish Lowery scored an unassisted goal while in the 26th minute Greene scored her second goal of the contest. Karen Rodriguez scored off an assist from Ayers in the 27th minute as Adairsville ran the score to 5-0.
Rodriquez scored her second goal a minute later to go up 6-0 with an assist from Amber Litteral. That margin carried into the break.
In the second half, Blake Chagnon scored early for Adairsville and Mt. Zion answered in the 46th minute to close to 7-1.
Sydney Sumners closed scoring for the teams at 8-1. Morgan Creel and Becca Ferguson combined to get the win in goal.
"Mt. Zion had played the night before, so we caught them tired," Hall said. "We were sort of shocked at the score. If we played them again, the score probably would be closer."
Adairsville improved to 2-0 with the victory.
It next plays Coahulla Creek, in Dalton, for a friendly on Tuesday. The game starts at 5 p.m.
