Adairsville fell from the ranks of the unbeaten this season with a 3-2 loss in overtime to Coahulla Creek on Tuesday night.

The Lady Tigers scored in the game's 17th minute off a corner kick by Emily Sexauer, who got an assist on the score by Cherish Lowery.

That 1-0 lead stood up through half time.

However in the 60th minute, Coahulla Creek scored on a breakaway to knot the game at 1-all.

In the 75th minute, Coahulla Creek notched its second goal of the evening for its first lead, 2-1.

The Lady Tigers responded quickly, however, as Nisa Ayers scored off a 25-yard kick in the 78th minute to tie the game at 2-all.

In overtime Coahulla Creek scored on a shot from the top of the box that went high and away from the Adairsville goalie in the match's 88th minute.

"We were two evenly matched teams but we unfortunately were on the wrong end of the scoreboard today," assistant coach Lance Hall said.

The loss dropped the Tigers to 2-1 on the season.

The Lady Tigers next play North Murray County at Tiger Valley on Friday. The teams square off at 5 p.m.
