Mr. Jarrett worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for 33 1/2 years before retiring. He was a veteran having served in the United States Air Force as Airman 2nd Class. He attended Cassville Baptist Church and Oak Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Jarrett served as a deacon at both Cassville Baptist and Oak Grove Baptist and was a visiting preacher for many years. He enjoyed playing with his grandchildren, building things, playing the guitar, and playing pool at the Beavers Drive Senior Center.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sandra Gail Jarrett Taylor and husband, Crawford; his son-and daughter-in-law, Jeffery Michael Jarrett and wife, Marianna; his grandchildren, Alexandra Elizabeth Taylor, Leah Renee' Jarrett and Theodore "Theo" James Jarrett.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 1, in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Benny Thomas and Rev. Mark Somers officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens with American Legion Carl Boyd #42 in charge of full military graveside rites.
Deacons of Oak Grove Baptist Church and Cassville Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
