Mrs. Paschal was born in Gordon County. She grew up in Fairmount and Cartersville where she attended Cass High School, Class of 1947, and played on the basketball team that went to the state semifinals. Mrs. Paschal retired from Lockheed after more than 35 years as an executive secretary in the contracts department. She loved gardening and was a member of Pray's Mill Baptist Church in Douglasville.
Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Birdsall and husband, Ed, of Medford, N.J., and Janet Hamilton and husband, Bill, of Cumming; two sons, George K. Branton and wife, Karen, of Carrollton, and Don Paschal of Centerville; two sisters, Bill Fair of Cartersville, and Bobbie Casey and husband, Mark, of Jasper; grandchildren, Michael Birdsall, Daniel, Lyndsey, Lauren and Nichole; several great-grandchildren. Mrs. Paschal was predeceased by her husband, Forrest Paschal.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mrs. Paschal may be given to the American Cancer Society, 1825 Barrett Lakes Blvd, Kennesaw, GA 30144.
