Mary was born Feb. 24, 1941 in Atlanta, daughter of the late Dan T. McCollister and Dorothy Ruth Moore McCollister. She was a retired Medical Technician and of the Baptist faith. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Fleet Reserve Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Floyd.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jandene and Anthony R. Placanica of Lecanto, Fla.; a son, Patrick Edward Floyd of Hollywood, Fla.; and a daughter and son-in-law, Kelly Ruth and Jimmy A. Duncan Jr. of Acworth; grandchildren, Anthony R. Placanica of Lecanto, Fla., Amber Nicole-Lacy Placanica of Lecanto, Fla., Ryan Sijan Floyd of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; a brother and sister-in-law, Dan Terry and Jane McCollister of Marietta; a brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Pauline McCollister of Newnan; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Services will be conducted at a later date. Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Dr., SE, Cartersville, has charge of the funeral arrangements.
