Survivors are his daughters, Ms. Mary Upshaw of Fairmount, and Ms. Sarah McClain of Cartersville; three grandchildren, Miss Kiara McClain, Miss Teara McClain of Cartersville, and Miss Sessily Clements of Chattanooga, Tenn.; one son, Mr. Tyrone Davis of Cartersville; two sisters, Mrs. Beatrice (Webster) Jackson of Atlanta, and Mrs. Dorothy Stone of Knoxville, Tenn.; one brother, Mr. Chester (Gwen) Morris of Marietta; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service for Mr. James Charles Rufus Jr. will be held Tuesday, March 13, at 1 p.m. at Fairview United Methodist Church with Pastor Dexter Nesbitt and Rev. Rodney Weaver officiating. His remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Monday after 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service. Interment, Fairview Cemetery.
