Diane Ford Bagley, 72, of St. Mary's, formerly of Cartersville, died Monday, March 12, 2012, at her home following an illness of several months.

She was born Oct. 31, 1939 to Eddie and Frances Ford.

While living in Cartersville she was well known in the community and positively touched many lives; was an active member of The First Baptist Church; served as managing editor of The Daily Tribune News, as senior vice president of First National Bank where she was the founder of the First National Bank FAN Club; and served as operations manager at Wachovia until 1994.

She served as chairman of the Cartersville Medical Center Hospital Board of Trustees from 1983 through 1992. During her tenure the new hospital was built and opened and she delivered the grand opening speech. She was also a past director of the Cartersville Chamber of Commerce, and member of the Cartersville Woman's Club.

Following retirement she and her husband, Noel Steed Bagley, moved to St. Simons in 1996 and from there to their present home in St. Mary's.

Mrs. Bagley was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Katrina Ford Alston.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, their children, Kimberly Cook, Stephanie (Whit) Watson, Staci (Mike) Wooten, and grandchildren Katie, Anna and Chip Wooten.

Memorial services will be held Monday, March 19 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's United Methodist Church, 105 E. Conyers St., St. Mary's, GA 31558 with reception immediately following at the church.
