New Euharlee residents got a surprise Wednesday night when a potential methamphetamine lab was discovered under the floor.

Bartow Cartersville Drug Task Force Commander Capt. Mark Mayton said the homeowner alerted police after he discovered suspicious liquid under the home on Milam Circle. The man had crawled under the floor after encountering heating and air problems.

Because of the close quarters, a special confined spaces team from Atlanta was called in to assess the situation.

Mayton said the team removed six one-pot-method meth labs through a hole cut in the living room floor.
