Born March 19, 1948, in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Frank and Angelina Avallone. Joe was of the Christian faith and very strong in his beliefs. He was a member of the First Assembly of God in Rome.
Joe was a devoted and caring husband, father and grandpa. He is survived by the love of his life of 32 years, Linda Avallone; his daughter, son-in-law and grandson, Melissa, Doug and Matthew D. Boone of Acworth; his son, daughter-in-law and grandson, Daniel, Cindy and Joseph D. Avallone of Adairsville; his sister, Frances Slater of Newfoundland, N.J.; his cousin, Maria Teller of Paterson, N.J.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins in New Jersey.
In death, he is reunited in Heaven with loved ones gone before him, his parents, Frank and Angelina; his aunt and uncle, Joseph and Rachel Ciaramella; his sister, Rose Sammarone; and his sister-in-law, Florence Curtiss.
The family will be celebrating his life in a Memorial Service at First Assembly of God, 105 Broadus Road NE, Rome, GA 30161, on March 18 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Joseph Avallone memorial fund.
