The Purple Hurricanes claimed their fourth region matchup in a row while playing their fourth game in a six-day stretch.
The victory improved Cartersville's record to 7-1 overall, 4-0 in Region 7-AAA. Cedartown is 5-5 overall, 3-1 in region play.
The Canes had struck first in the contest with a run in the bottom of the second inning, but Cedartown answered with two runs in the top of the third.
The Bulldogs were leading 2-1 through the middle of the sixth inning when Cartersville pushed six runs across the plate to claim a 7-2 lead.
Cedartown responded with three runs in the seventh inning, but it was too little to prevent the homestanding Canes from picking up the big region win.
Leading the Canes with the big bat were Asa Williams, Michael Goss and Beau Benefield, all three hitting doubles. Williams, Jojo Underwood, Austin Adams and Benefield (two) were credited with RBIs.
Cartersville next plays Monday when it hosts Gilmer County. The game is to start at 5:55 p.m.
