One person was airlifted for treatment of injuries sustained after falling out of the back of a pick-up truck in Rydal Tuesday night.

According to a Bartow County Sheriff's Office incident report, the victim was reportedly told to sit down while the truck was in motion but continued to stand. When the truck made a turn, the victim fell off.

Witnesses said the driver and passengers had told the boy to sit down, but he continued to move. Two witness said the vehicle drove by at a high rate of speed -- between 30 and 35 mph -- and both said the boy was "standing up in the bed of the vehicle with both arms in the air while the vehicle was in motion."

Friends took the boy to his residence on Jennifer Lane, where he was later airlifted from for medical treatment.
