Betty Ruth Carroll, 79, of Spring Street, Cartersville, passed away Friday, March 30, 2012.

Mrs. Carroll was born Jan. 19, 1933 in Cherokee County, the daughter of the late Will and May (Glass) McCoy, was retired from Spring City Knitting where she worked for 31 years and was a Jehovah Witness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Sherry Cantrell and several half-brothers and sisters.

Surviving is her husband, Reuben Carroll of Cartersville; daughter, Lynette Sizemore and her husband James Buckley of Cartersville; son-in-law, Eli Cantrell of Cartersville; granddaughters, Candace Popham and her husband, Travis, Lisa Sizemore, Cara Carter and her husband, Travis; grandson, Chase Cantrell; great-grandchildren, Ashley Popham and Mason Carter; a sister, Rachel Crowe of Calhoun and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 3, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Elder Mark Bauer officiating.

Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6 to 9 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Travis Popham, James Buckley, Milton Solomon, Seth Costa, Tony Costa and Alex Wickham.

Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, Ga., is in charge of the arrangements.
