Mrs. Carolyn B. Maulden, 75, of Cartersville died peacefully, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at her residence. She was a native of Bartow County, born on Sept. 23, 1936, and was the daughter of the late Meredith T. Brown and the late Gertrude Brooke Brown. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Billie Martha Woodall.

Mrs. Maulden was a homemaker and a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness in Adairsville. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her family and animals. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Robert Wayne Maulden; her children and their spouses, Cheryl and Joel Guyton, Daryl Maulden and Kelli and Phil Bryson; her grandchildren, Justin and Katie Guyton, Taylor, Conner and Zoe Bryson; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Wallace and Joyce Brown of White, Robert and Joellen Brown of Blacksburg, Va., and Watson and Jackie Brown of Marietta; along with several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 12, in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Elder Arthur Blalock and Elder Mark Bauer officiating. An entombment will follow in the Providence Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Guyton, Taylor Bryson, Mike Woodall, Jon Woodall, Paul Brown and Jeff Mauldin. Conner Bryson, Mickey Thacker, Derick Mauldin, Robert Brown, Sam Fortenberry and Reuben Lowe will serve as honorary pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Hope Center Foundation, 960 JFH Parkway, Cartersville, GA 30120, to the attention of Heather Tetherow or the Etowah Valley Humane Society, 36 Ladds Mountain Road SW, Cartersville, GA 30120.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville.
