He was born in Rome, March 11, 1961, son of Peggy Gulledge Hunter and the late Clifford Elmore Hunter. Mr. Hunter was of the Pentecostal faith, had been a diesel mechanic at Cobra Trucking, and enjoyed all types of sports. He was preceded in death by his father and an infant sister.
Survivors include a son, Michael Lee Hunter of Kingston; a daughter and son-in-law, Terri Brooke and Billy Massingill of Kingston; his mother, Peggy Gulledge Hunter of Kingston; a brother and sister-in-law, Dean and Ramona Hunter of Kingston; four grandchildren and several nieces and survive.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 15, at 3 p.m. at New Life Ministries, Adairsville, with Rev. Steve Morrow, Rev. Randy Gulledge, and Rev. Ken Coomer officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Adairsville. The body will lie-in-state at the church from 2 p.m. until the funeral hour.
Pallbearers include Bryant Haney, James Johnson, Ricky Towe, Ricky Chamlee, Bobby Reed, Greg Mitchell, Brandon Mealor and Ricky Skaja.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Barton Funeral Home.
