Lois Cowart Bagwell, 95, of South Street, "Stewart House," Carrollton, passed away Wednesday morning, April 18, 2012, in Carrollton.

Mrs. Bagwell was born June 5, 1916, in Kingston, daughter of the late Rev. Henry Cleveland Cowart and Mary Jackson Cowart. She was retired from Goodyear Mills and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church for more than 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Euell J. Bagwell in 1985; brothers and sisters, Wynell Cowart, Julius Cowart, Eunis Denning, Gladys Giles, Nina Johnson and Ruby Lee Trimble.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Standford and Louise Bagwell of Matthews, N.C., Terry and Cindy Bagwell of Carrollton; grandchildren, Amy Bagwell Long, Randall Keith Bagwell, Warren Dean Bagwell, Dave Anthony Bagwell, Daniel Patrick Bagwell, Bradley Neil Bagwell, Judson Cole Bagwell; great-grandchildren, Brian Long, Michelle Long Kelly, Joseph Brandon Bagwell, Bradley Bagwell, Tiffany Bagwell, Dave Bagwell II; great-great-grandchild, Kaitlyn Kelly; brother, Henry Cowart; sister, Ruth Ann Evans; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church with Dr. Don Hattaway officiating. Internment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Saturday at Tabernacle Baptist Church beginning at 3 p.m. until the funeral hour.
