He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Annie Mae Phillips Bray; two sons, Scottie Bray and James Bray. Lefes served in The United States Army and was a veteran of World War II. He retired from Union Carbide and was founder and pastor of Macedonia Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors are his family: four daughters, Fartema Mae Fagin, Mari Ricks, Martha Bray and Elizabeth Autrey; five sons, William Alvin Bray, Phillip Emanuel Bray, Lawrence Edward Bray, Elvis Lee Bray and John Mark Bray; daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Family will celebrate his life Monday, April 30, at 1 p.m. at Glory Harvester Church, 1988 Joe Frank Harris Parkway, N.W., Cartersville, with Bishop Bobby Greer, eulogist, and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Powerhouse Ministries. Interment, Cassville Cemetery with Military Honors.
