John Reed Evans and Jake Cooper had back-to-back 2-RBI hits in the bottom of the second inning to help the Tigers defeat the Padres, 6-1, in Cartersville Little League play on Wednesday.

Evans added a solo HR for the Tigers in the fourth, and the Padres scored in the top of the fifth on doubles by Jacob Frye and Brant Smith.

For the Tigers, Cooper pitched 4 innings and 85 pitches with 11 strikeouts, and Grant Harris pitched 2 innings and 25 pitches with 4 strikeouts. For the Padres, Brant Smith pitched 4 innings and 69 pitches with 3 strikeouts, and Jacob Frye pitched 1 inning with 1 strikeout.

Trevor Lawrence and Trey Harkins combined for a 4-hitter as the Dodgers outscored the Phillies, 8-4, in Cartersville Little League action Wednesday.

Lawrence and Jonathan Guerrero each had 3 hits to lead the Dodgers offensively while Jordon Wells had 2 hits for the Phillies, and Khase Willis and Josh Holmes each added 1 hit.

The Dodgers were led by Jonathan Guerrero, 3 hits with a double, a run and 3 RBIs; Trevor Lawrence, 3 hits with 2 runs; Logan Gates, 2 hits with a run and an RBI; Matthew Greene, 1 hit with 2 walks and 2 runs; Max Rohland, 1 hit with 2 RBIs; Cole Crump, 1 hit with a walk, a run and an RBI; Clay Ross, 1 hit with a run and an RBI; Trey Harkins, 1 hit; Tyler Dover, a walk; Keaun Thomas, hit by pitch.

Chris Mills and Tyler Bird combined to pitch a 4-hitter for the Colts as they defeated the Braves, 7-2, in Cartersville Little League action Thursday.

Bird also led the Colts at the plate with 3 hits while Baylor Agan had 3 hits for the Braves and David Seanor had 1 hit.
